Northern Lithuania College is one of the highly respected higher institutions in the north of Lithuania. College formula for success is: "Ability to experience life with open eyes, courage and strength, a constant evaluation of work, the awareness of market changes, professionalism and experience guarantee the implementation of all foreseen aims".

College history dates back to 1994 when Business Incubator was established with an aim to provide legal, economic and financial consultations and organize trainings to Siauliai region businessmen as well as to implement projects.

In 1997 Adult Training Centre started its work to teach adults and help them to retrain or raise their qualification.

In 2001, 1st September higher business school of Norhern Lithuania was ready to deliver two study programmes: Business Management and Law to its first students and continued to expand its course provision.

A year later, in 2002 non-university programme of Business Management was registrated (code: 65303S162).

In 2003, February 20th the Government of the Republic of Lithuania approved status of higher institution ‘Northern Lithuania College'. In the same year another non-university programme of Law was registrated (code: 65301S1).

In 2004 Northern Lithuania College prepared and introduced a new contemporary programme relevant to the needs of the employers - Administration of Computer Network (code: 65307T108).

Within 5 years, Norhern Lithuania College has expanded its campus to meet the needs of growing numbers of students enrolling at the college. It moved to the new and spacious premises in Tilzes street, providing cosy classrooms, computer rooms and a conference hall. There is also a zone for rest where students and teaching staff feel free to drop in; a spacious library intended to provide students with the books they need for their studies; a cafeteria which serves meals and snacks to faculties and staff.

At present the college can boast its experienced lecturers: scholars, judges, practicing attorneys, specialists of information technologies, psychologists.

In 2007 a programme of ‘Economics of Financial Institutions' was prepared and registrated. It is a new and original study programme that was prepared relevant to the needs of the labour market, new technologies and the development of financial sector.

Since 2009 September the College launches a new programme Event Management.

The establishers of Northern Lithuania College prepared and implemented a lot of projects that contributed to the successful work of Business Incubator, Business Consultation Centre, Siauliai Regional Development Agency; they actively participated in creation and preparation of Siauliai development programmes and EU structural funds.

Northern Lithuania College cooperates with different education and scientific institutions, pubic administration institutions, non-governmental organizations, business companies. It is a member Association of Siauliai industrialists, Association of Directors of Colleges, Association of Lithuanian College Libraries. The college also maintains close relations with Business Incubator, Siauliai Science and Technology park, Siauliai Municipality, Siauliai district exchange offices and other companies and organizations of Siauliai city and district.

Northern Lithuania College pays particular attention to establishing successful international relations all over the world. Its international policy aims to develop international cooperation and integration into the European and global academic community, to support and facilitate student and teacher exchange. The college cooperation is based on short-term educational activities (such as workshops, seminars by guest professors), academic staff and student exchanges (such as the Erasmus programme), internships (such as the Leonardo Da Vinci programme). These activities are supported by European programmes (Socrates/Grundtvig 2/3, Leonardo da Vinci), European funds and academic programmes. International relations contribute to the improvement of the quality policy at the college in order to meet both costumers' and internal quality requirements, and commitment to permanent improvement.

College has a strong vision for the future and looks forward to furthering its commitment as a centre of excellence for the development.
