* Develop College's international involvement in cooperation with internationally-orientated high schools, companies and institutions what contributes to its success in education, strengthen own education system, offer more studying opportunities for Northern Lithuania College students and develop their international perspective, international competitiveness and innovative capacity;
* Put emphasis on the establishment of cooperation with institutions both in industrialised and developing countries;
* The internationalization policy as well as all other foundational documents of Northern Lithuania College condemns any discrimination on the basis of ethnic or geographical origin, gender or sexual preference, religion or social origin, political or philosophical conviction.
* Seek to reach a balance in the number of incoming and outgoing exchange students as well the lecturers and improve their international view;
* In 2004, Northern Lithuania College introduced the European Credit and Transfer System for all programmes. Learning Agreements and Transcripts of Records, based on examples from the ECTS, are also used. Upon completion of their studies at Northern Lithuania College, all incoming students receive a Transcript of Records mentioning all courses they attended with credits and marks in both the Lithuanian and the ECTS system. Results and credits obtained abroad by outgoing students are recognized and registered both in the Lithuanian and the ECTS system.
* Promote Erasmus Programme via much information, counseling and other services which are provided to all students, such as: information brochures about study abroad opportunities; Study abroad advisors for both incoming and outgoing students; information in print and on the web of all course possibilities for incoming students; pre-arrival support with application procedures, arrangement of accommodations and assistance with visa applications; an Orientation Week for incoming students, course enrolments, tutoring and integration activities. All incoming students may take courses in Lithuanian. All outgoing students must meet language requirements and may take courses in English.
* Many services are provided to all lecturers (incoming and outgoing): support by mobility coordinators; information and advice on scholarship opportunities; help with practical arrangement such as travel, accommodation, use of library and computers services, access to buildings etc; acknowledgement of teaching activities as part of their academic careers.
* Through internationalization, improve the standards of management education, the level of academic research and international reputation, to achieve its vision which says: "Northern Lithuania College activities are based upon humanistic values and democratic principles with a dual purpose, an inward focus on learning and an outward focus on service. College provides high education and professional qualification relevant to the labour market needs, science and new technologies level; struggles to ensure that the student experience fosters the transmission of knowledge as well as inspires intellectual curiosity in each student."
* To enhance the level of international cooperation projects, and the introduction of excellent foreign teaching resources - an active participation in educational projects and research such as Erasmus, Leonardo, Mundus, Tempus etc.
