Academic Calendar Academic year at Northern Lithuania College starts on September 1 and lasts until the middle of June. It is divided into Autumn Semester (from September to December) and Spring Semester (from February to June). Each semester includes 15 weeks of lectures and two weeks of examinations. Usually in the middle of each semester students have to take midterm tests. During the first two weeks of semester, students have to register for courses at the departments where those courses are offered: they have to sign twice on the course attendance list. Note: students may drop and add courses during the first two weeks of semester. After the registration period, students have to attend and to complete all courses in which they are enrolled. Regular class attendance is necessary for maximum success at the college. If students do not attend the courses in which they are enrolled, at the end of semester they will not be able to pass the exam, i.e. they will receive a negative mark in their Transcript of Records. Each student is responsible for his/her courses confirmed during the registration period.
