How do we distinguish ourselves from others?

● Qualified teachers and attention to each student. Northern Lithuania College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and expects all staff and teachers to share this commitment. All of our teachers are egreed and highly qualified in the subject areas that they teach.

● Awareness of labour market needs and quick reaction to changes. As a College focusing specifically on the development of high level skills in a specialized profession this is a key area of our education and training. Recognising an ageing specialist workforce, we are cognizant of the need to increase training opportunities and have regular meetings with the municipal and our social partners' representatives to negotiate the provision of training opportunities. The constraint from their point of view is frequently the measure to provide training programs of sufficient quality to meet accreditation standards.

● Close cooperation with other education & training sectors and organizations. The College works towards both horizontal and vertical connection with other higher education and training providers by:
a. Recognising that other similar profile colleges in the sub-sector are training to achieve many of the same professional competencies and working towards developing some mechanisms to recognise those competencies;
b. Working towards improving the links with Economics and Business Administration, Law, Informatics faculties within universities.

● Practical training carried out starting with the first year of studies. It helps students to become competitive on the labor market. Nearly a third of the study time is allotted to students' work at companies, institutions and organizations. Practical training enables would-be specialists to grow sure of the correctness of the chosen path, to familiarize themselves with their profession in true-life conditions and, often, find job while still at college.

● Demanding attitude to the standart of knowledge of languages. All through the educational course in the College students are to study Lithuanian and English, the knowledge thereof contributing to graduates' speedy integration within the European community and ensuring their employment or further education.

● Efficacy of International Cooperation. It enhances the educational potential of the study programme- in compliance with international standarts- and facilitates our graduates' access to the international labor market.
