Northern Lithuania college library is a learning space where students, academic staff and other users can find information and gather inspiration for the development of their academic knowledge and personal growth. It is dedicated to the support and enrichment of the college curricula through the provision of print and non-print materials to student and faculty and to furthering the cause of lifelong education through instruction in the effective use of library resources. Library provides a wide array of print and electronic resources designed to assist students with course studies and to encourage self-directed research and learning. |
The purpose of the library is to enable students to learn more about the subjects () that are formally taught at Northern Lithuania College as well as to help our users learn more about library research skills and information literacy. To this end, the library offers a variety of services that makes the library an important center of campus activity. Its users are invited to: access a wide range of information in a variety of automated database systems find the information needed to support course work in the library's specialized collection of books, journals and audiovisual media get acquainted with the newly received editions borrow books for an indicated period prepare for lectures use a personal laptop on the library's wireless network
One of Northern Lithuania College priorities is that you can find a library, general and Internet reading rooms under one roof. Access to the Internet for students and academic staff is free of charge. Customer service is a priority in all phases of operation. Professional librarian is always on hand to assist readers with their information needs throughout their research, whether it's consulting the catalogue or showing them how to exploit effectively the extensive range of electronic resources. Our Vision and Goals In an environment of rapidly changing information technology, Northern Lithuania Library will strive to become a modern library of a higher educational institution, providing access to its resources when, where, and in the form its community will use most productively.
